Faculty

The quality of any accredited institute of higher education is largely a reflection of the quality of its faculty.

With a staff of 80 core and affiliated members , who work with and supervise more than 400 professionals and external teachers, the faculty of Rouen Business School is the embodiment of its international outreach, its rigorousness with regard to research work and publications, its close cooperation with the business world and its investment in a teaching style emphasizing action and responsibility.



More than 70% of the faculty members have or are about to receive a doctorate. The staff numbers has grown in the last four years, with the recruitment of 32 teaching and research staff, who have joined the school’s teaching departments and research teams. The school will be continuing with its investment in this area going forward by recruiting new teaching staff with considerable international academic experience.

International outreach

40% of the permanent faculty are either non-French or have significant professional or academic experience abroad. This percentage is constantly growing : among the latest recruits we have professors from Canada, the United States and Hong Kong. Research activities are also growing , with international collaborative projects involving researchers in the United States, Canada, Asia and a number of European countries. On top of this, the Rouen School of Management, on an annual basis, hosts twenty or more visiting professors from renowned foreign universities, particularly in North America, some of whom come for sabbaticals of 6 months or one year. These professors do both teaching work and research work in collaboration with the School’s faculty.

Close contact with the business world and with other organizations

More than 60% of the permanent faculty have experience in the business world or in other types of organization. Almost half do seminars in the Executive Education or MBA programs, others do consulting work for all sizes of business or organization. The research carried out by faculty members concerns the concrete issues faced by businesses and other organizations, in partnership with businesses themselves or with business support organizations. With regard to developments in the teaching sphere, businesses and business professionals are closely associated with the teaching programs ; every year faculty members create practical case studies based on real situations.
